DUBLIN, CA — The high school seniors of 2021 have had an experience like no other in a century — a year upended by a pandemic and by lockdowns that kept them from enjoying many of the activities that previous seniors have taken for granted.

Patch hopes to help make it up to those seniors by giving them a special sendoff. We asked parents and other family members to pay tribute to this year’s grads using a special submission form so we can publish those tributes one by one.

Nicholas Evangelista-Kuelper will graduate from Dublin High School.

Plans after graduation: Continue Working and Attend Las Positas College

Accomplishments: Nick played Football throughout his High School career ending his Junior year playing Varsity. When The Pandemic hit he was forced to remain remote due to family vulnerability. Although he missed out on a traditional Senior year, he excelled in his Art Class and discovered a love in Marine Biology. Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic he had remained employed and working the front retail lines. He met the challenges of picking up extra shifts and maintaining grades. He remained working through last years Wildfire Season and Social Injustices which threatened to closes retail shops due to riots. He has maintained his grades and even made Honor roll during these difficult times.
