DUBLIN, CA — On Thursday California expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility statewide to those ages 50 and older, which means a flood of new people are searching for appointments in Dublin and across the state.
If you aren't one of the 18,000 in Dublin who've been able to get at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine yet, read on to learn more about your options.

- Ages 50+
- Essential workers in health care, food, agriculture, education, child care, emergency services
- People with high-risk health conditions
- People who work, live or recently lived in a high-risk congregate living setting such as a correctional facility, homeless shelter or behavioral health facility
- Housed or unhoused people who are homeless
- Public transportation personnel (private plane workers excluded)
People who meet these criteria and live or work in Alameda County are eligible.
Vaccine demand in Alameda County currently exceeds supply, according to the health department's website, which means it might be difficult to snag an appointment. There are several places you can check for vaccine appointments available in your area.

Many have found luck searching for appointments on vaccinefinder.org, which searches for appointments at various pharmacies after users enter their zip code.
