Dublin Mom photographs Baby Bear stuck in a Tree in Tahoe
Dublin Mom, Rita Szőllős, captures images of a baby bear in Tahoe needing assistance from its siblings after climbing a tree.

Dublin Mom, Rita Szőllős, was out in South Lake Tahoe spending some quality time with family and friends when they came upon a most unusual sight.
An adventurous little bear climbed high up into a tree and then froze when it realized it had ventured up too high. Rita said that the baby bear got stuck - 60 feet up.
"The kids spotted the single baby bear way up in the tree," related Rita "at the bottom was the momma Bear, making noises, as if calling to her cub. Minutes later we saw a second cub, and then a third, and they too were making noises to each other, and to the one above. The one up top cried out many times. We could see that it was trying to figure out how to climb down."

In a heartwarming moment its siblings scrambled up to coax it back down. The mother bear kept guard throughout the incident and waited patiently at bottom until all were down safely.

"The babies were so small," said Rita "If it weren’t for the kids telling us, I’d have thought there were raccoons in the tree."

"The kids were playing just below this tree (trying to build ta fort) when we were up here last summer" said Rita and was grateful that this time they were at a safe distance . She used a long-distance lens for the photos.
