Dublin Resident Starts New Sports Club For Adults

DUBLIN, CA — A Dublin man recently organized a new sports group for adults in Dublin. The Dublin Sports Club holds free, organized pick-up games at Emerald Glen Park. The games are intended to be a social activity so Dubliners can get together and play, according to organizer Matt Zamudio.

Zamudio said the free games are held at 7 p.m. on weeknights and midday on weekends.

“Without a doubt, there are plenty of adults who would like to get into a recreational team sport, but don't know where to start,” Zamudio told Patch. “Not to mention, with such beautiful parks in the area, a group like this could truly benefit the public.”

The group is not dedicated to any one sport and members will have a say in the sport played each week.

“We might play basketball one week, baseball the next, and soccer the next,” Zamudio said.
