Dublin Roads Ranked Smoothest In Bay Area: Report
No other Bay Area city has smoother roads, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
DUBLIN, CA — When talking pavement, Dublin roads are far smoother than the average in Alameda County, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
In the nine-county Bay Area, there are 43,500 "lane miles" of local streets and roads, which achieved an average pavement condition index of 68 out of 100. In Alameda County, the average pavement condition index is 68.
Pavement condition index ranges from 0 to 100, with 0 representing a failed road and 100 representing brand new.

Some cities far outrank the average. Across the entire Bay Area, Dublin achieved the highest average index of 86, which is considered "very good" and well above Alameda County's ranking.
