Dublin Is The Second Fastest Growing City In California

Dublin's population grew more quickly last year than any other city in California except for one Southern California community. Figures released by the state Department of Finance show Dublin gained more than 3,000 residents, increasing its population to 49,890 as of Jan. 1. View further details in this Patch report.

Dublin Unified is pleased to announce that Dublin Elementary Special Education teacher Keira Andresen has been named the DUSD Teacher of the Year. Andresen will move on to be considered for the Alameda County Teacher of the Year award. Further details here.

The Dublin City Council is expected to make a decision soon on if there should be a study to evaluate a proposal to change the land use of about 39 acres between Tassajara Road and Brannigan Street from commercial to residential. The land is currently owned by Dublin Land Company (DiManto Property), but is looking sell the property to SummerHill Homes, a home builder based in San Ramon.
