Dublin Safe And Sane Fireworks Sales Underway

DUBLIN, CA — Getting ready for Fourth of July festivities? The city of Dublin has announced its plans for safe and sane fireworks sales this year.

Sales will run from June 28 to July 5 and benefit local nonprofits. And while you can't set them off elsewhere in the Tri-Valley, fireworks may be used from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. July 4 in the following places in Dublin.

• Single-family homes.
• Shannon Community Park (11600 Shannon Ave.).
• Dublin Sports Grounds (Dublin Boulevard and Civic Plaza).
• Alamo Creek Park (7601 Shady Creek Road).
• Emerald Glen Park (Central Parkway and Glynnis Rose Drive).

Fireworks cannot be set off in multi-housing complexes or other parks, city facilities or schools, according to the city. Anyone using illegal fireworks will be fined maximum penalties and could be jailed.
