Dublin School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Dublin is August 14. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Dublin Unified School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/10: Staff Development Day
• 8/11: Teacher Work Day
• 8/14: First Day of School

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/27: K-8 Minimum Day
• 10/31: K-5 Minimum Day

November

• 11/10: No School (Veteran’s Day)
• 11/17: K-8 No School (Teacher Work Day)
• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/21: K-12 Minimum Day
• 12/22 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)
• 1/26: No School for Students (Staff Development Day)

February

• 2/9: No School for Students (Staff Development Day)
• 2/16: K-5 Minimum Day
• 2/19: President’s Day

March

• 3/16: No School
• 3/30: K-12 Minimum Day

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/28:No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/31: Last Day for 9-12 Students, K-8 Minimum Day

June

• 6/1: Last Day for K-8 Students, K-8 Minimum Day, 9-12 Teacher Work Day
