Dublin St. Patrick's Festivities 2021: Scavenger Hunt; Fun Run

The annual parade & weekend fest were canceled this year due to pandemic, but the Irish spirit goes on with slew of activities.

DUBLIN, CA — The 37th Dublin St. Patrick’s Day celebration's annual crowd-drawing parade and festival got the kibosh for 2021 due to the pandemic. But Irish-inspired events still are taking place March 13-20, including a race, concert, cooking class, chalk contest, scavenger hunt & more, courtesy of the City of Dublin.

MARCH 13: St. Patrick's Celtic Shopping Center Drive-In Concert. At Hacienda Crossings Shopping Center in Dublin. Save your spot ... With Irish bands Tempest and Cali Celtic.

MARCH 13: St. Patrick's Day “Lucky to be in Dublin” Chalk Art Contest. Reserve square at Civic Center Fountain Plaza, or participate from home.

MARCH 13-14: St. Patrick's Irish Dance Lessons. Get your jig on with McBride School of Irish Dance from San Ramon. An outdoor event with fun that appeals to ages 3 and up.

MARCH 13-14: Irish Marketplace: Vendors specializing in Celtic artwork and jewelry, Irish kilts and textiles, Irish candies, scones, preserves & more at Hacienda Crossings, 5000 Dublin Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MARCH 13-20 : Shamrock 5K Fun Run & Walk. "Lace up those sneakers, pull out your favorite green tutu, and get ready to show that Dublin pride."

MARCH 16: St. Patrick's Virtual Cooking Class: Pans On Fire. Don the green, and learn to make an Irish feast!

Through MARCH 20: St. Patrick Shamrockin' Scavenger Hunt. "Mischievous leprechauns" have hidden "Glen the Guide" & shamrocks all throughout town.

The Dublin Arts Collective has created a fun tutorial on how to create a “Lockdown Leprechaun” with supplies found around the house. The video and list of needed supplies can be found at www.dublinstpats.com.

While the Dublin Lions Club is unable to host its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the group will help to “paint the town green” by hanging green ribbons throughout downtown Dublin for the weeklong celebration.
