Dublin Unified Schools Board: Election Results

Seats for Area 1 and Area 4 of the Dublin Unified School District Board were up for grabs this year.

DUBLIN, CA — The polls have closed and Dublin voters have decided who will serve on the board for the Dublin Unified School District.

Trustee Area 1

Fresh faces vied to serve residents of this region. The candidates are Dawn Nwamuo, physician and mother, and Kristin Pelham, educator and parent.

With all three precincts reporting as of 11 p.m. Wednesday, Pelham held the lead with 62% of the vote (1,713 votes). Nwamuo received 37% (1,031 votes).

The results are unofficial and have not been certified. The county said it must still tally an unspecified number of mailed ballots.

Trustee Area 4

Incumbent Gabi Blackman faced off against Michael Utsumi, fundraiser event coordinator.

As of 10:20 p.m. with all four precincts reporting, Blackman seemed poised to retain her seat with 72% of the vote (1,624 votes). Utsumi received 28%, or 622 votes.

The results are unofficial and have not been certified. The county said it must still tally an unspecified number of mailed ballots.
