Dublin Wins EBAL Championship In OT Victory

Dublin High School won the East Bay Athletic League championship in a double-overtime victory over Dougherty Valley Saturday.

DUBLIN, CA — Dublin High School's boys basketball team won the East Bay Athletic League championship in a double-overtime victory against Dougherty Valley Saturday, the East Bay Times reported.

The 90-73 win at Dougherty's home court in San Ramon brought the Gaels its second league championship in four years, and capped a 23-5 season.

A three-pointer by Dublin's Anthony Roy tied the game with 36.2 seconds left in regulation, and a basket by Malik Jackson with just 3.4 seconds left in the first OT sent the game to its second OT period, according to the Times.

Both teams are now awaiting seed selection for the North Coast Section playoffs, set to be announced Sunday.
