Dublin Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Tax Fraud

Denise Reed was arrested Monday and is suspected of claiming about $97,000 worth of refunds she knew she wasn't entitled to.

A Dublin woman was arrested on suspicion of filing 14 false tax returns for refunds totalling about $97,000, according to the Department of Justice.

Denise Reed was arrested Monday and is suspected of making the false claims to the Internal Revenue Service between January 2009 and February 2010. She used a number of different names when claiming refunds she wasn't entitled to, according to court documents.

Reed was indicted on the 14 charges in December before being arrested.
