The city of Dublin has designated three parks where the use of safe and sane fireworks are permitted between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on the 4th of July only: Alamo Creek Park, Emerald Glen Park, and Shannon Park. The city is reminding residents that, due to construction along Dublin Boulevard, the Dublin Sports Grounds is NOT a designated park this year.

No fireworks of any type (including safe and sane) are permitted at Dublin multi-housing units or at any undesignated Dublin park, other city facility, business park or school.

The city has a zero-tolerance policy for illegal fireworks. Those caught using illegal fireworks will be fined the maximum penalties allowed by state law and could face jail time.

Those who plan to use safe and sane fireworks this year should follow these safety tips.
