Gordito's In Dublin Serves Up Family Recipes, Tex Mex Favorites
Gordito's, which replaced Freebirds World Burrito, offers family recipes and wants to be like your "abuelita's living room," said an owner.

DUBLIN, CA — A new family-owned, Tex Mex restaurant has opened in place of Freebirds World Burrito, serving fresh and local ingredients, family recipes, handmade salsas, and options for vegans, vegetarians and lovers of al pastor, said Gloria Govan, who owns Gordito's with Lonnie Govan. The management is redecorating the space to include traditional Mexican elements and wants it to feel like your abuelita's (or grandma's) living room, she said.
Gordito's offers items such tacos, combo meals, burritos and fire-roasted corn. Govan said the menu will soon include deep-fried churros.
Gordito's, which has branches in Elk Grove and Granada Hills, is a family-run shop, Govan said. Her mom, dad, brother, and nieces and nephews work at their locations.
