MAP: These Tri-Valley Stoplights Have The Longest Delays

TRI-VALLEY, CA — Traffic: It's an unavoidable reality sometimes. And though Bay Area drivers face some of the most stoplights and longest delays in the country, Tri-Valley traffic isn't so bad, according to a recently released report.

INRIX analyzed traffic signal performance at intersections across the country, and found how much time traffic signals spend on green and times of peak demand.

Most of the Tri-Valley intersections analyzed are in the least-delayed green range, which indicates minimal delays of no more than 20 seconds per car. Fortunately, no local intersections were in the most-delayed red range, which indicates cars may spend 55 seconds or more waiting at a light.

Livermore appeared to have the longest delays, however stoplight delay data was not available for much of Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore.

The intersection with the longest delay in Tri-Valley was Fourth Street and South Livermore Avenue, where the light is green about 28 percent of the time. Peak traffic there is 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.
