Celebration Of Life Planned For Arlen Ness Saturday
The beloved owner of Arlen Ness Motorcycles in Dublin died in March.
DUBLIN, CA — A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Saturday for beloved motorcycle designer and entrepreneur Arlen Ness. Ness was surrounded by family when he died in March at the age of 79. The Minnesota native and East Bay resident, who became known as the "The King of Custom Motorcycles," owned Arlen Ness Motorcycles in Dublin.
Ness was an icon in the industry, earning multiple awards throughout his lifetime. The custom motorcycle retailer, which is a landmark in Dublin, also features the legendary Arlen Ness Museum.
The memorial and celebration of life will be held on April 27 at the Crosswinds Church in Livermore and Arlen Ness Motorcycles in Dublin, according to the company’s Facebook page. The memorial service will start at 10:30 a.m. at the church and will be followed by a group ride to Arlen Ness Motorcycles. Hundreds are expected to attend.
