Ring Found In Tri-Valley Parking Lot Surrendered To Dublin Police

There were many sweet inquiries from readers who lost valuable and sentimental rings but the woman who found it didn't find the owner.

DUBLIN, CA — A Tri-Valley woman who found a ring in a Dublin parking lot earlier this month has taken the jewelry to the police department. The ring, which was described as "more than a trinket," did not have any diamonds.

The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said that she found it in the parking lot at lunchtime near the Panera Bread restaurant on Fallon Road in Dublin. She contacted the manager of the Fallon Gateway Shopping Center, where the ring was found, in addition to reaching out to Dublin Patch.

Some people would be tempted to keep the ring, but the current holder of the jewelry told Patch, "It never occurred to me to keep the ring. It's not mine, and it appears to be more than a trinket. I would hope someone would do the same for me."

Although she answered many sweet email and Facebook inquiries from readers who lost valuable and sentimental rings, she was not able to find the owner and decided to give the ring to police for safekeeping. If you believe that the ring is yours, she is asking you to contact Dublin Police Services.
