Salvation Army In Need Of Bell Ringers In Tri-Valley

The bell ringing runs through Christmas Eve.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — The Salvation Army of Hayward is in need of bell ringers this holiday season. The bell ringing runs through Christmas eve. Volunteers generally raise about $30 per hour, which will provide a family with two bags of groceries, according to the Salvation Army.

The Red Kettles sites can be staffed by volunteers or part-time employees. A volunteer shift is four hours a day, while a paid bell ringer works an eight-hour shift. The kettle hours are typically 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
