Smoke From Oak Fire Prompts Dublin Air Quality Advisory
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District extended the advisory through Thursday.

DUBLIN, CA ? An air quality advisory for wildfire smoke was extended through Thursday for Dublin and the Bay Area.
The advisory was issued Wednesday by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, which was continuing to monitor the local impacts of smoke from the Oak Fire near Yosemite, as well as other fires.
Winds are continuing to bring smoke from Mariposa County into the Bay Area; however, smoke is expected to remain aloft, the air district said Wednesday.

"Smoky, hazy skies may be visible across the Bay Area and the smell of smoke is possible at higher elevations," according to the advisory.
"Air quality is forecast to be in the good to moderate range on the air quality index and pollutant levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard. A Spare the Air Alert is not in effect."

According to the air district, if the smell of present it is important that Bay Area residents protect their health by avoiding exposure.
"If possible, stay inside with windows and doors closed until smoke levels subside, if temperatures allow, the air district said. "It is also recommended that those impacted by smoke set their air conditioning units and car vent systems to re-circulate to prevent outside air from moving inside."
