"Walk and Roll to School Week" Kicks off October 5 in Dublin
Dublin schools join students around the world on International Walk & Roll to School Day on October 7.

The Dublin City Council has proclaimed October 5 – October 9 as “Walk and Roll to School Week” in the City of Dublin.
The Dublin Unified School District, with support from the City of Dublin Public Works, Dublin Police Services, and Safe Routes to School Alameda County will join schools from around the world to celebrate International Walk to School Week. Every Dublin public school will participate this year on the same day - International Walk & Roll to School Day on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
The goal of Walk to School events is to encourage walking and bicycling and increasing physical activity among children by establishing connections between families, schools, and the community. The event is also aimed at increasing awareness of issues such as pedestrian safety, traffic congestion, and the environment.
