4th Annual Fado Night Dinner Performance at Cafe Lucia

Café Lucia Presents its 4th Annual Portuguese Fado Night event Sunday, October 9!

Fado (meaning "Fate" in Portuguese) is the national song style of Portugal and is loosely described as Portuguese blues or Portuguese soul music. If you have traveled to Portugal or dined at Café Lucia, LaSalette Restaurant, Tasca Tasca you have heard Fado music.

This year, we are presenting Fado in a more traditional setting. Fado's roots are imbedded in the old taverns and restaurants of Lisbon, were traditional Fado houses are still very common. We are turning Café Lucia into one of these renowned "Casa de Fados" for this very special evening.

The evening will include dinner and performances from Chico Avila, Manuel Escobar, John Cardadeiro, as well as Tania Oleiro joining us all the way from Lisbon, Portugal!
