Flash Flood Warning In Effect For Kincade Fire Burn Area

Rainfall predicted for this afternoon and evening triggered the warning, as cold weather is set to hit the North Bay by Thanksgiving.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A flash flood warning will be in effect Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Kincade Fire burn area in northern Sonoma County, according to the National Weather Service.

Moderate to briefly heavy rains are expected this evening as a cold front moves through the North Bay, the NWS said. The rainfall could lead to rockslides, debris flows and flash flooding in the burn area and places downstream of the burn scar, the NWS said.

Meanwhile, cold weather is set to hit the region this week, with temperatures in parts of the North Bay dipping into the mid-20 degree area on Thanksgiving day, according to the NWS.
