Healdsburg Opens Cooling Center Amid Triple-Digit Temps
In Healdsburg, where Thursday is expected to be the hottest day, the city's cooling center has a pet-friendly area.
HEALDSBURG, CA — As a heat wave brings triple-digit temperatures to Sonoma County and much of the Bay Area, the city of Healdsburg opened a cooling center Wednesday.
Those seeking relief from the heat can head to Healdsburg Senior Center, 133 Matheson St., where the cooling center is open noon-6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, June 16-18.
A heat advisory went into effect at 11 a.m. Wednesday and continues through 9 p.m. Friday.

In Healdsburg, high temperatures were forecast to hit 100 on Wednesday, 105 on Thursday, 102 on Friday and 97 on Saturday.
The good news for Healdsburg pet owners is that the city's cooling center has a pet-friendly area so residents don't have to leave their four-legged friends at home in this heat.
