This is especially critical now that an estimated 23,000 12- to 15-year-olds are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine.

Curative is offering vaccinations at Coddingtown Shopping Center from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, and Sunday, May 16.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A mobile unit is hosting coronavirus vaccine clinics daily through Monday at various sites in Sonoma County thanks to a partnership between Curative and the county.

Friday, May 14, Curative's mobile unit is administering vaccinations from noon to 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 8400 Old Redwood Highway in Windsor.

Curative will then offer vaccinations at Coddingtown Shopping Center from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16.

After that, the Curative mobile unit will be parked Monday, May 17, at Andy’s Unity Park at 3399 Moorland Ave. in Santa Rosa on Monday, May 17. At all clinics, operation hours are noon-6:30 p.m.

Future Curative vaccination sites will be selected by the County of Sonoma Department of Health Services based on the needs of specific communities, according to County of Sonoma Spokesperson Paul Gullixson. The county will provide at least one equity liaison to each Curative site to ensure equitable access to vaccination services with bilingual, bicultural support, Gullixson said.

Adding the Curative mobile unit helps bring the vaccine to the 31 percent of the population who have yet to receive their first dose. Curative, a COVID-19 testing and public health services company, can administer up to 200 doses of the Pfizer vaccine each day, county officials said. This is especially critical now that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has expanded the emergency authorization for the Pfizer vaccine to those 12- to 15- years old, Gullixson said.

There are an estimated 23,000 Sonoma County 12- to 15-year-olds who are now eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine.

Appointments can be made by selecting the “Book Now” button at Curative.com, or by calling 888-702-9042. Walk-up appointments are also available.

As of Wednesday, more than 54 percent of Sonoma County residents 16 and older were fully vaccinated, while another 15 percent had received their first dose.

“Thanks to our health-care providers, community leaders and volunteers, we have made great progress in vaccinating Sonoma County,” said Lynda Hopkins, Chair of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. “While we are proud of this effort, we still have work to do. Adding this Curative mobile unit to our list of vaccination providers is one more tool to ensure we can bring the vaccines to where residents live.

Working with a constellation of providers, such as multi-county entities like Kaiser, Sutter Health, and Providence, as well as local health centers, chain pharmacies and stores, and other providers, such as Fox and Associates, 490,945 doses of vaccine have been administered in the county as of Wednesday, county officials said.

“Sonoma County continues to be one of the leaders in the state in getting residents vaccinated,” said Dr. Urmila Shende, Sonoma County vaccine chief. “If we want to stay safe and healthy while again enjoying activities such as commencement, vacation, playing sports, and attending events, such as attending Giants and A’s games, we need to continue to make sure that everyone who wants a vaccine gets the opportunity."
