New Healdsburg Side Road 'Honor Farm' Supports Aspiring Student

Near Healdsburg, a soon-to-be Chico State student opens an side road 'honor farm' to help pay his expenses. Here's where to find his bounty.

HEALDSBURG - A local student headed off to Chico State in the fall to study entrepreneurship and agriculture business is relying on the honest goodwill of local residents for financial support along his pathway.

The aspiring student - named Tristan - has opened a side road 'honor stand' of fresh and dried fruits, honey sticks, and walnuts in Healdsburg that is unmanned; shoppers pick what available produce they desire, then pay for their purchase through the honor system, leaving the correct amount of money at the stand.

According to the advertisement posted in CropMobster, Tristan currently has organic Gravenstein apples for sale for .50 each, but you can make a better deal by volume such as $16.00 a lug box.

SIDE ROAD FARM “HONOR STAND” OPEN | SUPPORT FUTURE FARMER TRISTAN’S EDUCATION!!! THANKS!
I am getting ready for my first year at Chico State this August where I will be in the school’s “Business-Entreprenuer” program with a minor in “Ag-business”. I have a small honor farm stand on Westside Road in Healdsburg to help pay for my college expenses and tuition called “Side Road Farm”. I have organic Gravenstein apples for sale (.50 each and can make a better deal by volume such as $16.00 a lug box) as well as dried organic persimmons and walnuts (2015 crop) 1/4 pound for $5.00. Also are honey sticks from our hives at .50 each. The organic free stone yellow peaches will be ripe in about two weeks. They are .50 each. Thank you for reading this and supporting “future farmers” of Sonoma County and my college education.

The address of the 'honor farm' is 3116 Westside Road, Healdsburg.
