NorCal Cafe Fines Customers $5 For Wearing A Mask
A cafe in Mendocino fines patrons for wearing masks or "bragging" about being vaccinated.

MENDOCINO, CA — A Mendocino cafe owner says he doesn't believe in mask-wearing and posted a sign on his business last week warning customers of a $5 fee for wearing them, NBC reported.
Fiddleheads Cafe posted a sign Sunday reading "$5 fee added to orders placed while wearing a face mask." An additional $5 fee would be added, the sign warns, for anyone caught "bragging" about getting inoculated.
The cafe also previously offered a 50 percent discount for those who discard their face coverings in the garbage, owner Chris Castleman, 34, told NBC.

The fines, Castleman said, will go to Project Sanctuary, a domestic abuse organization. "I don't think $5 to charity is too much to ask from mask-wearing customers who claim to care so much about the community they live in," he told NBC by email.
