The mercury soared into the mid-80's in Northern California on Sunday, and residents were out in droves enjoying the unseasonable weather.
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - Exceptionally warm and beautiful weather on Sunday beckoned to tourists and local residents, and many got outside to enjoy the day, whether in local swimming pools or in fields bursting with flowers.

Many families and couples in Napa and Sonoma counties couldn‘t resist pulling over to the side of the road to take selfies and portraits while standing in waist high mustard fields, fields that sprang up in the last few weeks thanks to the El Nino rains, and now some sunshine.

The National Weather Service says wet winter weather returns to the Bay Area toward the end of this week, with light rain moving in Wednesday and Thursday. The Truckee area may receive up to an additional 12” of snow.
