Pine Fire Near Cloverdale Chars 14 Acres: Cal Fire

The wildfire erupted late Tuesday afternoon near Green Road and Pine Mountain Road.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA ? Forward progress was stopped on a vegetation fire burning since Tuesday afternoon in the Cloverdale area.

The Pine Fire was reported at 4:39 p.m. Tuesday at Green Road and Pine Mountain Road and quickly spread to 10 acres within about an hour.

By 6:25 p.m., it was 14 acres and 25 percent contained with no evacuation orders in effect, according to Cal Fire's Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit Twitter page.

At 8 p.m., containment improved to 50 percent and the blaze remained at 14 acres.

"Crews will be in the area working on containment for the next couple of hours," Cal Fire said.
