Should Del Rio Woods Swimming Beach Remain Open?

Do you ever use Del Rio Woods swimming beach?

Sonoma County 4th District Supervisor James Gore and Sonoma County Regional Parks are hosting a June 3 community meeting to discuss the future of the Del Rio Woods Recreation District.

The meeting is scheduled for 5:30to 7:30 p.m. at the Villa Chanticleer annex, 900 Chanticleer Way, Healdsburg.

Topics will include the purpose, status and administration of the Recreation District.

The Board of Supervisors on April 28 placed the District under Regional Parks’ interim management following the resignations of the District’s five directors.

The action allows Regional Parks to operate the Del Rio Woods swimming beach while the county seeks feedback on whether to continue or dissolve the District.
