Roadway Reopens After Sinkhole In Coffey Park Area
UPDATE: The roadway was reopened Monday afternoon.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A roadway in Santa Rosa's Coffey Park area has reopened following the repair of a sinkhole, police said Monday afternoon. The sinkhole was reported at about 9:30 a.m. Monday and forced the closure of Barnes Road just north of the intersection of Dennis Lane, according to Santa Rosa police.
Motorists were asked to use alternate routes. Southbound traffic from River Road was reroute to Fulton Road or U.S. Highway 101.
"This will likely be an extended closure as crews are just beginning to assess the sinkhole which appears to potentially affect the entire roadway width," police said in the advisory issued at about 9:30 a.m. Monday.
