Sonoma County Allows Wineries, Breweries To Reopen

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Breweries and wineries in Sonoma County can soon reopen without being required to serve food at the same time.
The change to Sonoma County's coronavirus-related public health order is set to take effect at 12:01 a.m. Friday, the same date California Gov. Gavin Newsom is expected to ease this requirement.
Under the modified order, Sonoma County breweries and tastings rooms must adhere to state-issued guidance, county officials said Wednesday.

Bars and pubs are not included in this change to the county's health order, officials said.
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is set to discuss future reopenings, such as bars, during its meeting Thursday.

The county last month had allowed wineries and tasting rooms to reopen for sit-down outdoor meals if the business had a food facility permit, but otherwise they were only able to provide curbside pickup and deliveries.
