Vincent Joseph O'Sullivan, 55, of Guerneville allegedly stole two LGBT flags too, officials said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A man was arrested Saturday after threats were made to detonate a pipe bomb with the intent of hurting members of the LGBT community and local deputies. Sheriff's officials said the investigation began when an LGBT flag was stolen from the Guerneville Chamber of Commerce on April 26.

A few days later, a replacement flag was stolen.

During the investigation, deputies learned of threats to manufacture a pipe bomb for the purpose of detonating it at the Guerneville Safeway and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office Guerneville substation, officials said.
