Sonoma County Registrar Set To Mail Voter Information Guides
Guides will be mailed this week but do take longer than regular first class mail, the registrar's office said.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — County Voter Information Guides for the Nov. 3 general election will be mailed to Sonoma County voters starting Thursday, county officials said.
According to Deva Marie Proto, Sonoma County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor-Registrar of Voters, the delivery time for more than 260,000 booklets will take longer than regular first class mail.
Any registered voters who have not received a booklet by Oct. 9, however, may contact the Registrar of Voters Office by phone at 707-565-6800, email rov-info@sonoma-county.org, or in person Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. t o 5 p.m. at 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa.

For voters who have opted out of receiving a paper County Voter Information Guide can view the guide online at Sonomacounty.ca.gov/vote.

To celebrate National Voter Registration Day, which is Tuesday, the Sonoma County registrar is also reminding residents that the last day to register to vote and receive a regular ballot for the Nov. 3 election is Oct. 19.
To be eligible to register to vote in California, one must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years old on or before Election Day, and not in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony.
For those who meet the above requirements but have not yet registered to vote, go to RegisterToVote.ca.gov and fill out the application. Physical forms are available at many public and government offices including city halls, post offices and the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office at 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa. You can also request a paper registration form be mailed to you by calling 707-565-6800.
Voters who have recently moved or changed their names should re-register by Oct. 19. However, residents who miss this deadline still have the option to “conditionally” register and vote up until 8 p.m. on Election Day; please contact the Registrar of Voters Office for further details about this process.
