The Best-Selling Books of 2013 in Healdsburg

Copperfield's Books releases this year's lists.

In perhaps one of the most literary and interesting lists of the last five years, Copperfield’s Books has released its top sellers for the 2013 year. 

Copperfield's has seven North Bay stores in Napa, Sonoma and Marin counties.

Here are the best-sellers for the Healdsburg store, 104 Matheson St.: 

  1. Where’d You Go Bernadette? by Maria Semple (fiction)
  2. Tequila Mockingbird by Tim Federle (nonfiction, featuring alcoholic drinks)
  3. The Drunken Botanist by Amy Stewart (nonfiction, featuring alcoholic drinks)
  4. The Art Forger by BA Shapiro (fiction)
  5. Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter (fiction)
  6. Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon’s Near-Death Experience and Journey into the Afterlife by Eben Alexander (nonfiction)
  7. Paris: A Guide to the City’s Creative Heart by Janelle McCulloch (guidebook)
  8. The Paris Wife by Paula McClain (fiction)
  9. The Orchardist by Amanda Coplin (fiction)
  10. Paris: A 3D Keepsake Cityscape (map)
  11. Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed (nonfiction)

Staff at the Healdsburg store say vacation shoppers often ask for recommendations, which leads to top-selling fiction titles that don't appear on the best-sellers list of other Copperfield's store.

The No. 2 and 3 best-sellers in Healdsburg involve mixing drinks, "which is in keeping with the night life of the town and the visiting tourist vacation mode," according to a Copperfield's press release.
