Voting In Healdsburg: Everything You Need To Know

HEALDSBURG, CA —This Election Day in Healdsburg, voters are deciding on two local ballot measures, and are deciding between six candidates vying for three seats on the Healdsburg City Council.

Candidates for Healdsburg City Council are: Charles A. Duffy, David Hagele, Doralice Handal, Ariel Kelley, Skylaer Palacios and David R. Jones.

Measure BB

Ballot Question: With no additional taxes and to assure continuing emergency medical services, acute hospital inpatient services and outpatient services to meet the needs of local residents, shall the North Sonoma County Healthcare District enter into a purchase agreement for Healdsburg District Hospital and its assets, at fair market value, with NorCal HealthConnect, LLC, a secular affiliate of Providence St. Joseph Health?

A “yes” vote on Measure BB will allow District to proceed to sell substantially all of its assets to NorCal.

A “no” vote on Measure BB will prohibit the District from proceeding with the sale.

Measure T

Ballot Question: To stabilize City finances, and maintain and protect essential City services, shall the City of Healdsburg adopt an ordinance to extend the one-half of one percent transactions and use tax, enacted by the voters in 2012 and currently in place until 2022 and generating approximately $2.1 million per year, with annual audits and review, and with all funds spent locally for the benefit of Healdsburg residents, until ended by voters?

A "yes" vote is in favor of the tax; a "no" vote is against the tax
