Miss California USA 2018 hails from Hermosa Beach
Miss California USA® 2018 Kelley Johnson was Crowned Sunday at Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center

Kelley Johnson a 25-year-old contestant residing in Hermosa Beach was crowned Miss California USA® 2018. Janeice Love a 17-year-old contestant from Barstow was crowned Miss California Teen USA® 2018. The pageant was held at the Long Beach Convention Center on Sunday, December 3, 2017. The winners will move on to compete at the Miss USA and Miss USA Teen competitions, respectively.
Johnson, an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse, is currently a full-time doctoral student in the online Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Colorado. Her ambition is to educate, advocate for, empower and inspire leaders in health care to influence positive change and improve patient outcomes. Kelley is a professional public speaker who have given 65 key note speeches.
Love is a senior at Barstow High School and freshman at Barstow Community College. She is Captain of the Barstow High Varsity Cheer Squad who is also a member of her local toastmasters club. She volunteers with an organization called Soldier’s Angels to support women in the military who are deployed.
