Members will gather for a "Celebration Of Life" honoring Si and Mary Lou Brumbaugh Nov. 30 at the Joan B. Kroc Theatre.
Our guest today was Marilyn JARMAN who was seeking financial support for “Baskets For Seniors” during Christmas for their “You Are Not Alone” program. We will discuss our support at the next meeting.
The “Celebration Of Life” honoring Si and Mary Lou BRUMBAUGH will be held on November 30th (Saturday) at 2PM at the Joan B. KROC Theatre 6611 University Avenue, San Diego; and you are invited to be there to honor them.
The raffle today was won by Adolph HELGESON, and he pulled out a $5 White Chip. Therefore, Adolph HELGESON, or his designee, will be the “Finemaster” at our next meeting.
We need to improve attendance; and it is essential that members contact Del KAY whenever you are unable to attend future meetings. Please help us to not order and pay for more lunches than what is actually needed. We need your enthusiastic support and attendance at all meetings; and we know you want to do your part for Kiwanis and our fine club.
During our Board Of Director’s meeting, we approved $100 for expenses for the “Chili Cook-off” in which John PIPES got 3rd Place; $50 to “BSA Troop#108”; $20 to the “Lemon Grove Nutrition Center’s Coffee Fund”; $10 to “Miracle Mile Of Quarters”; and $25 to Debbie SOHL to provide refreshments for “Volunteer Boy Scouts Teachers” who are in a program to help disabled scouts. Good show!!!

NOTICE: Our next meeting will be held on December 4th. We will be looking forward to seeing all of you in attendance; and to begin to see what we can do to get some new members and build up our fine club.
The following meeting will be held on December 18th. That’s Board Of Directors meeting day; so be there to approve some important Kiwanis business and support your club’s activities.

Volunteers are needed for the 4th Annual “Holiday Of Miracles Radiothon” with KYXY Radio 96.5 at RADY Childens’s Hospital; and it will be held on December 12th & 13th (Thursday & Friday), between 6AM – 7PM. Debbie SOHL, advises that the “Lemon Grove UMW Holiday Dinner” will be held on December 14th (Sat) at 6:00PM, at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 3205 Washington Street, Lemon Grove. Adults $7, Children 12 yrs & Up $4, and Children under 12 yrs are free. Contact Debbie SOHL at (619) 583-7521. The church is the home for BSA Troup #108 which we support as our Major Emphasis Program for this Fiscal Year.
