Police Search For Drug Suspect Who Escaped Custody In SD
The San Diego Sheriff's Department warned the public to keep an eye out for a suspect who escaped custody in San Diego.

LEMON GROVE, CA — Police were searching for a suspect who escaped custody after he was arrested on federal drug-related charges, according to a statement from the San Diego Sheriff's Department.
Jovany Gallardo, 29, was not handcuffed when he reportedly fled on Thursday night, officials said. He is described as a Latino who is 5-foot-8 inches tall, around 180 pounds and has heavily tattooed arms and legs.
When he fled, officials said he was wearing light-blue jeans and a navy-blue shirt with the word "Champion" on the front. He was last seen walking on Lemon Grove Avenue, deputies said.

Anyone with information on Gallardo's whereabouts is asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 or contact the agency online at sdcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
