San Diego County Sheriff's Department: Fire Investigation - San Marcos

On June 26, 2021, at approximately 1:37 a.m. Deputies from the San Marcos Station responded to the San Marcos Equestrian, located at 2635 North Twin Oaks Valley Road in the Unincorporated area of San Marcos, to assist the fire department with a report of a structure fire. When deputies arrived on scene, they observed a home and several trailers fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, human remains were located. Sheriff's Bomb/Arson detectives responded to the scene to determine the origin and cause of the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
