Having trouble getting into the spirit of water saving? This may help.
The 4th Annual National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation kicks off April 1. Cities compete in categories based on population size. Those with the highest percentage of residents who take the challenge in their population category are entered into drawings for hundreds of eco-friendly prizes, including home improvement gift cards, home irrigation equipment and a Grand Prize Toyota Prius V.
The Challenge runs throughout April in observance of Earth Month.

To participate, signup online at mywaterpledge.com, and then make a series of online pledges to conserve water on behalf. The site provides several tips on how water usage can be reduced by 10 percent or even 20 percent.
