Altamont Pass: CHP Issues Wind Advisory
Major Bay Area bridges were also covered by the wind advisory. Here's what you need to know.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — For the second consecutive night, the California Highway Patrol issued a wind advisory for three major bridges around the Bay Area, this time adding a fourth popular driving route.
The CHP issued the warnings at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, cautioning drivers to be cautious of high winds on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, the Benicia-Martinez Bridge and the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, as well as at Altamont Pass between Livermore and Tracy.
Winds recorded late Tuesday afternoon at San Francisco International airport reached 58 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.
