The arrest came 10 days after the Oakland Housing Authority arrested him on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, police said. Since Robinson's arrest by Livermore detectives, he was released and arrested again in connection with violent crimes in Oakland, police said.
The Livermore police investigation dates back to the evening of Feb. 2, when officers responded to the San Francisco Premium Outlets after receiving a report that two people were armed with guns and committing robberies.

The robbers approached shoppers, ripped a gold chain off a person's neck and stole a pair of shoes, police said. They reached into someone else's pocket and stole a wallet containing $2,000 in cash and credit cards, police said. The robbers fled in a car before police arrived.
Robinson, who has a lengthy criminal history, was later identified as a suspect, police said. He posted a photo of himself on social media wearing what appeared to be the stolen chain, police said.
The identity of the second robbery suspect remains unknown.
Detectives went to local pawn shops in hopes of finding jewelry stolen in Livermore. They found jewelry sold by Robinson that linked him to another armed robbery in San Jose, police said.
Detectives searched Robinson's girlfriend's home in Pittsburg and recovered jewelry stolen in the Livermore robbery, plus evidence linking Robinson to an unrelated nonviolent armed robbery in Livermore, police said.
Livermore detectives continued to search for the second suspect in the Feb. 2 robbery at the San Francisco Premium Outlets.
