DUBLIN, CA — A Livermore woman charged with murder and gross vehicular manslaughter following a grisly crash that claimed the lives of two women in November of 2017 will be arraigned on Aug. 14. The arraignment date was scheduled following a preliminary hearing at the East County Hall of Justice in Dublin this week.

Lauren April Davis, 28, is facing numerous other charges relating to the Livermore case, including three counts of causing injury while drunk driving by a person with prior convictions. Prosecutors said she has two previous convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Davis, who is being held without bail at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, pleaded not guilty to all charges in July of 2018.

CHP officials said the night before Thanksgiving 2017, Davis was driving a blue Kia Sorento when she drove off Stanley Boulevard, overturned several times and came to rest on the first set of railroad tracks. Five people were in the SUV at the time of the deadly wreck. On Feb. 8, 2018, California Highway Patrol investigators arrested Davis at a home in Livermore.
