Livermore Brush Fire Burns 50 Acres, Cal Fire Says

The Arroyo Fire had the potential to grow to 100 acres, according to Cal Fire officials.

LIVERMORE, CA — Firefighters Sunday battled a 50-acre vegetation fire in Livermore. The Arroyo Fire was reported in the area of 5200 Arroyo Road just before 5 a.m., according to the Pulsepoint phone application.

The fire, which was about 50 percent contained by 6:45 a.m., had the potential to grow to 100 acres, according to Cal Fire officials.

Cal Fire, Livermore-Pleasanton, Camp Parks and Alameda County Fire Department crews worked for hours to knock down the blaze. No one was injured during the fire.

Crews will be engaged in "extensive mop up due to a eucalyptus grove" in the area, Cal Fire reported.
