Cannes Film Fest Winner By Las Positas Alum To Screen

Shawn Ryan's film "Charlie" will screen for free at the college as part of his Film Master Class "Self-Creation in the Film Industry."

LPC: Las Positas College Foundation | New LPC Film Studies Program present: Shawn Ryan's Film Master Class and showing of his Cannes Film Festival entry, "Charlie" with a workshop and Q&A session to follow. Note this film is rated "R." This event is sponsored by an LPC Foundation Grant and is free to attend.

Shawn Ryan, an LPC Alumni, wrote, directed, produced and starred in this Cannes Film Festival award-winner, now airing on Amazon Prime.
Shawn's directorial debut was with the short film "Charlie" which screened at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for the Emerging Filmmaker Award. His next six films also played at Cannes and won awards at festivals around the world. Shawn is currently in development of his first feature film "Feels Like Home," which begins filming in 2020.
