Cause Of Mines Road Fire Under Investigation, Cal Fire Says
The Mines Fire was reported at about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Cal Fire officials said a brush fire in Alameda County Monday afternoon was extinguished. The Mines Fire was reported at about 2:30 p.m. and was located along Mines Road near Livermore, according to Cal Fire.
Aircraft dropping fire retardant helped slow the blaze's progress, Cal Fire said in a Twitter post shortly before 3 p.m. The size of the fire at that time was 20 to 25 acres.
Cal Fire later revised the size down to 11 acres. The cause is under investigation.
