CHP Investigating Deadly Morning Crash Near Altamont Pass Road
An early morning crash near Altamont Pass Road left one person dead, caused a car to catch fire and closed the roadway for several hours.
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — A fatal collision between at least two cars was reported early Saturday on West Grant Line Road at Altamont Pass Road in Alameda County, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported at 5:10 a.m. One of the cars caught fire, according to the CHP.
The roadway was blocked for several hours but reopened later Saturday morning. No other information was immediately available.
