Firefighter Is 'Willing To Go The Extra Mile': Livermore Hero

LIVERMORE, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Big John Flores, who nominated friend and firefighter David Rudberg of Livermore.

Reason for recognition: He is a very kind a great man. Puts people first. Good-hearted guy. Always willing to go the extra mile to help someone out.

One thing to know: This man is a firefighter for the city of Livermore. He finished 1st in his class in the academy. He lives in Livermore with his girlfriend Jess and dog Riggs.
