Take-Out Options For Tri-Valley Diners: Coronavirus

Local groups are collecting lists of restaurants still serving the community via take-out or delivery.

TRI-VALLEY, CA — Sick of home cooking? Dining in at California restaurants is still a no-go due to concerns about spread of the new coronavirus, but some Tri-Valley restaurants are offering take-out or delivery to serve customers.

Local tourism group Visit Tri-Valley is normally focused on marketing the region to visitors, but things have taken a turn in recent days.

"We will have nothing for the visitors if we don't take care of our business, of our locals," said Robin Fahr, Visit Tri-Valley director of marketing and communications.

As the official destination management organization for the Tri-Valley, our focus is the safety and health of our community and also the viability of our local economy. In light of the recent shelter in place mandate issued yesterday, we have been working with our community members to find ways that we can help lessen the impact that COVID-19 will have on our local businesses. It goes without saying that our restaurants are what help make the Tri-Valley a fantastic place to live and a unique place to visit. These businesses rely on spending to keep their doors open so they can provide for their families. It is imperative that we support them financially during this time of uncertainty. We are deeply moved by what our communities have already done to support each other and their local commerce, and have been overwhelmed by so many asking what they can do to help. The answer is this: support your local restaurants. We are encouraging residents to participate in #trivalleytogo by supporting restaurants, breweries, and wineries who are currently taking every safety precaution and adjusting their operations to offer pick-up, delivery, and special to-go menus during this unprecedented situation. We’ll be keeping an updated listing of which restaurants are open for business and can use your support.
