Heat Wave To Sweep NorCal Wednesday
Expect to see triple-digit temperatures in parts of the Bay Area and visitors flocking to cooler areas, the National Weather Service said.
NORCAL — A heat wave is expected to sweep California from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service forecast.
Parts of the Bay Area will see highs from 90 to a scorching 102 degrees, NWS wrote. While the heat wave is expected to primarily hit inland areas, all Bay Area counties expect San Francisco are covered by the heat advisory. The San Francisco Bay shoreline and Santa Cruz County coast could see temps into the lower 90s, NWS wrote.
Higher temps are forecast in the Bay Area for the next few days and areas with cooler temps might see an influx of visitors, NWS warned.

Officials advise the public to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day, spend lots of time in shade or air conditioning and never leave kids or pets in unattended cars. NWS wrote. People who are elderly, have chronic health conditions, young kids and those who spend a lot of time outdoors or without air conditioning are especially susceptible to heat-related illnesses.
Some good news: This week's hot weather isn't expected to last as long as last week's heat wave.

Lower-than-normal temps will return by the weekend and the Central Coast might even see showers by Friday.
